The Sunpocket II Sunglasses fall within that rarified breed of design where form and function conspire to yield a product that is a both awesome looking and fun to use. A foldable design, the Sunpocket II features hinges on the bridge and the middle of the arms, allowing them to collapse and fit easily in your jacket or seated on your pants pocket.
As the sunglasses were originally created for gravity sports (i.e. skiing), the arms are rather steep and fit snug behind the ears so they won't fall off when you do somersaults (or bend over to tie your shoe). The plastic frame is made from a lightweight grilamid, a high performance, wear-resistant polyamide, while the polycarbonate lenses provide 100% UV protection and are virtually unbreakable, so if you accidentally fall, you won't smash them.
The sunglasses also come with a compact plastic travel case and a soft pouch for cleaning the lenses.
The Sunpocket brand was the epitome of on and off-piste Alpine cool during the '80s. Started as a French company, the brand was recently given a new life by Swedish businessman Jacob Hoglund, who grew up with his parents sporting the frames on Norwegian ski trips.
