In 2000, Ghostly International launched Spectral Sound; a subsidiary devoted to bringing the finest in tech-house dancefloor grooves to a worldwide audience. With the arrival of our first release, Matthew Dear delivered a dancefloor anthem, “Irreparably Dented” that was praised around the world in dance music magazines and by discerning DJs.

Constantly re-shaping and evolving, Matthew Dear delivers “Stealing Moves”, an intense, throbbing piece of chunky click-techno inspired by the European industrial of Terrence Fixmer and the minimal doings of Thomas Brinkmann, fused with Dear’s own unique perspective. Later this year, Dear will deliver his first work under his new alias, false, for Plus 8.

In demand producer and remixer John Selway (well known for his work with Christian Smith) brings his magic touch to the mixing board and takes a more atmospheric approach to his deconstruction without losing sight of the intensity of Dear’s original composition. This remix proves yet again why Selway is one of the best at what he does: making people move.
