Founded in 1883 in Nuremburg, Germany, Kaweco is one of the oldest oldest pen manufacturers in the world. Its classic series, of which these rollerballs are part, was developed in the 1930s so that users could easily carry a pen without a dress pocket.
The Kaweco pens feature a signature octagonal shaft, which makes them both comfortable to hold and visually appealing. The rollerballs are compact when closed and yet easy to grip in use, thanks to the way in which the cap attaches to the back of the pen, extending the shaft so that it rests easily between one's thumb and forefinger.
