Originally conceived in 1948 and later patented in 1966 following a few modifications, the Fisher Bullet Space Pen is an industrial design icon.
Thanks to a nitrogen pressurized ink cartridge that allowed astronauts to write in zero gravity, Fisher pens were first used on the 1968 Apollo 7 mission and later became the official writing instrument of all manned space flights. The closed design of the cartridge not only allows you to write upside down, under water, over grease, and in extreme temperatures, it also gives the pen an extensive shelf life.
The humble Bullet Space Pen has been exhibited for years at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and has been featured in countless books and magazine articles on product design. Our version of the pen comes with a discreet laser etched Ghostly logo on the barrel.
